Utility Jacket...

Fall fashion is seriously the best. Layers, boots, jackets,... Don't get me wrong, I love summer and all the light dresses and sandals, but there is something magical about fall and all the colors, especially here in Canada! Even though we only had about 48h of actual fall weather and way (way wayyy) too many hot days since September started, I am totally in a fall mood. To be completely honest, as I am typing this I am sitting on the couch under the softest blanket ever made, drinking tea and being surrounded by candles everywhere... (even though it was 31 degrees today).

Anyways, I decided to share with you one of my favorite looks, which includes some basic and essential pieces you will want to have this season!

First, this utility jacket. I have been searching high and low for the perfect jacket pretty much since July and have finally fell in love with this one. So many on the market are either too long, too short, too green, too baggy,... but somehow this one fit all the criterias I was looking for! I especially love the fact that it is tighter at the waist, giving shape to the silhouette. Also, many of you don't know this but I was a girl scout for many years when I was younger, and since I grew up in Europe it was a bit different than selling cookies like here in North America. We would sleep in fields for 2 weeks under tents we built ourselves, we would cook our own meals and shower in rivers and ponds. So in a way, this jacket totally bring me back to those years, which might be one of the reasons I love this style so much.

Next piece you will want to have is this striped top. You will want it because it fits everything! Throw it under a utility jacket like this one or a denim one. Layer it underneath a chunky sweater to mix the fabrics and give a visual interest to your look. Tuck it in flare pants for a stylish and chic look,... Seriously the list is endless. Don't forget to get tons of burgundy accessories for the season like this bag or my lipstick, because you will love pairing them with everything you own!
